Homework... leaving for home soon! :)

Hey guys,

I know my last few posts haven't been exactly ballet-oriented- but I'm sure you can handle it :) Anyways what's up with me right now is that I'm finishing homework, doing laundry, I will be folding lots of laundry and I have to pack my bags since I am leaving for Spring Break tomorrow! At least, ballet Spring Break, not academic Spring Break that already happened. But I need to go home- so I'm missing academics. Suck it up, teachers, yo gonna have to miss me! xD

PS- Today's picture- DANIIL SIMKIN (ABT) and ASHLEY BOUDER (NYCB). Gotta love those New York City Ballet fingers!

Good morning :)

Good morning bloggers,

Still getting over a cold, and I've probably gone through like ten Kleenex boxes already... I hate having to buy more. Even though it's the cheapest thing... hmph.

Anyways, there's a modern dance exam this afternoon that I plan on watching and I have French homework due today since I missed class yesterday... and the teacher was apparently pretty ticked off, so... props to me I guess... yeah.

Ballet was good though!! :)
Hope you all have a good rest of the day, and enjoy your weekend that is coming up fast!! (Thank GOD!)

Bonne Nuit... :)

Good night everybody.

Well, I'm not necessarily going to sleep yet, I'm simply finishing up schoolwork... and this is my last post for today. I think I'll post tomorrow- but we'll see.

La la la la laa..

Sooo hey there,

I'm really bored, and I have a busy evening ahead... I have rehearsals ending at 7:00 tonight and I also have a headache right now, so I am not so thrilled. Tomorrow is the birthday of a guy in my class who I hate- so it'll be a day of hearing people praise him... ugh.

Anyways, ballet class was good again today. Thank GOD something has gone right today, as my academics were... awful, considering my headache... I think I'll go drink some water now.

Does anybody hear me...?

Just a question... to make sure that people actually read this blog, although I doubt it...

" DO YOU HEAR ME?"

I suppose the more appropriate sentence, taking into account that this is a written project, would be:

" DO YOU READ ME?"

:)

It's A Great Day!

Hello again!

It's a great day today because...................... TWO of my afternoon academic classes have been cancelled, allowing me to come back to residence and... do nothing :) So, I decided to update my blog, since it is sort of addicting once you begin posting stuff...

Anyways, I thought I'd attempt at uploading a ballet video for all of you to enjoy. Let's see if it works out...

Well, that seems to have worked. Smiley faces! :) :D

I hope you like the video. The dancer is Marianela Nunez, and she is performing Odette's second act solo from the ballet 'Swan Lake'. She is very controlled and musical. I like her. :)

Enjoy! :)

Good Morning!

Good morning Bloggers,

Ballet class was good today, despite the fact that I am getting over a cold that seems to be going around... but my body actually worked how I wanted it to, and that is all that matters to me right now. I hope you are all doing well- and I shall post again later, after this afternoon's classes!
PS- Today's photo is of Lucia Lacarra of the Bayerisches Staatsballett- and I am not sure who her partner is here.

Ballet ballet ballet...

Hello again :) ,

Here are some great ballet pictures I'd like to share with you all. The first is of Evgenia Obraztsova and Leonid Sarafanov in 'Ondine'. So lovely, isn't it? The second is of Natalia Osipova of the Bolshoi Ballet, as Kitri in 'Don Quixote', which is my favourite ballet by far. I also think that Osipova is the greatest Kitri at the moment :)

Sorry for such a disorganized post- I'm quite new to adding pictures to my text... anyways, the black and white image is of Svetlana Zakharova, prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Ballet, performing in 'Scheherazade'. I love her, and I think she is the epitome of female classical ballet at the moment.
I will post again tomorrow, if I have the time! :)

Favourite Dancers?

Hey there, fellow Bloggers,

As you may have noted this is my first post- and my first blog! I just want to let you know this is the blog for ballet-related topics- from who is being promoted where to what company is performing in which city.
I'd like to begin my first post by sending a question out to all of you- who are your favourite dancers? Personally, I like the Russians the best- meaning Svetlana Zakharova, Natalia Osipova, Polina Semionova, Nikolai Tsiskaridze and so on. Post a comment below to let me know your thoughts!
